GLAM TIME:
Moisturize the skin with Tatcha's Luminous Dewy Skin Mist ($48) for a boost of hydration. Pricey, yes, but ideal for combination skin and can substitute for any primer. Leaves your skin hydrated and smooth for foundation application.
Brows on fleek! Outline & fill in your brow with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz ($21) to create a natural looking brow! The Brow Wiz comes in several shades and is perfect for settle yet fleeky brows! This brand carries all the favorable products to create any destined brow! Tip: Clean up the brows with a natural tone concealer
Apply to the skin Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation ($47). This liquid foundation can deliver a medium to full coverage natural-matte look with just little product that lasts up to 24 hours. Available in 35 shades. Holy grail must have for sure!
For BOTH highlight (concealer use) & contouring the holy grail of all holy grails are the products from LA Girl PRO ($2.99). This brand carries various shades to fit the perfect highlight and contour use for your skin. Cheap, yes, but great quality for sure. Highlighting is used with a color that is 1 or 2 shades lighter than your normal skin tone to create the illusion of a more lifted, younger face. Contouring is used with a color that is 1 or 2 shades darker than your normal skin tone to sculpt the face and enhance your natural features!
Highlighting Tips:
- Apply the concealer under your eyes, bridge of nose, center of forehead, cupids bow, & chin - then blend
- Can be used to sharpen/clean up the brows, eyeliner, & lipstick
- Can be used as a eye shadow primer
- Red toned concealer = use for darkness under the eye
- Yellow toned concealer = use for evening out skin tone
- Green toned concealer = use for red spots & blemishes
Contouring Tips:
- Apply to areas that are naturally shaded (ex. around the top of forehead, side of jawline, sides of the nose, & under cheek bones) - then blend
HIGH RECOMMENDATION: Purchase a Beauty Blender ($20). There are dupes of the actual beauty blender that may cost less, however the official beauty blender truly gets the job done. The beauty blender is used to blend out any makeup product that you apply (foundation, concealer, etc.). Simply damp it, squeeze, and blend away for a flawless, finished look. Tip: Key to successful makeup is to nicely blend everything to a smooth finish
LETS BAKE! Bake with Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder ($38). In the glam world, baking is used to lock in your highlight and perfect those fine lines and imperfections. Apply this product to areas that were highlighted, let the product work its magic for about 3min. & then dust off the product to create a soft-matte finish. Perfect to use for any skin tone, a little product goes a long way & has no flashback.
Once your foundation, highlight & contour is all done it's always key to piece everything together to be sure that all products connect nicely and overall look smooth & natural. To do so, take a fluffy blush & apply all over to the face Mac's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder ($32). Available in several shades.
One of the best products to use for both bronzing & highlighting (glow) use is the Makeup Forever Pro Sculpting Duo ($39) in the color "Golden." This product is perfect because its a 2 in 1. Tip: Use the upper half to highlight the cheek bones and bridge of nose to create a compelling sensational look. Use the bottom half to go back over those contour points to bronze up the face & give life back to any paleness!
To add a pop of color to the apple of the cheeks, apply Too Faced Love Flush Long Lasting Blush ($26) in the color "I Will Always Love You." This product has a peachy undertone that adds just the right amount of color. Perfect for any skin tone.
The perfect eye shadow palette for everyday use is Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette ($49). This palette carries 16 matte and shimmer shades of your favorite natural browns, delicate pinks and luscious plums. It's perfect to create any look from very settle to dramatic. The eyes are definitely an important feature of the face. So to enhance them to their highest potential, here is the triple threat combo a #7venBabe must-have! First apply NYX Matte Black Liner ($6) to the waterline of the eye. Then, apply Ardell's Glamour Wispies Black Lashes ($3.99) to the lash line of your eye. To top it off, apply Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23) to the bottom lashes and upper lashes of your eye. These 3 products will have your eyes popping like never before! Tip: After you have applied the lash glue of your choice to your lashes, make sure that the glue is tacky before applying to your lash line!
For a glossy finish yet pop of color to the lips apply NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss ($5). Available in 35 shades of your preferred choice. Tip: Moisturize the lips with a lip balm first before applying gloss
